Coach Zhao Jianhua shows our intermediate trainee how to improve his backhand return by using different grip variations. The first grip, with the thumb against the wider part of the handle, is useful for returning shots that have not past the player's body. The second grip, with the thumb against the small angled part of the handle, is useful for returning shots that has already past the player's body.
